l attended and spoke at the Granite Stake conference.[there is a type written page of instructions for Temple workers:..."be to those who come to the Temple a servant, and serve such as if he or she were your dearest friend. Avoid everything that savors of selfishness. The work we are called to is one of unselfishness, generous service to others, and we should be looking for opportunities to thus serve. ...speak to be heard by those who are concerned, but avoid speaking unnecessarily loud. Gum chewing should not be indulged in within the Temple or its approaches. ...Persons coming to the Temple should have their minds upon the work they have come to do, and the workers should neither say nor do anything to detract their attention therefrom. All unnecessary conversation should be dispensed with, and all necessary conversation should be in an undertone. There should be no unnecessary standing around or wandering about the halls or rooms oft he Temple. Those who wait upon others should be careful to keep their breath sweet and their fingernails clean. Foul breath may be caused through neglect of the teeth, or over eating; through lack of exercise or of pure air or by neglecting to drink plenty of water. ...Modesty should characterize the actions both of workers and of those who come to the Temple to do their own work.]
