12th Sunday Morning went on near Salem Village to a christian congregation attended meeting with them, heard them exhort, pray +c at the close of the meeting arose + told them our mission +c and gained permission to preach in the evening, + after a little consideration among them they were unanimously agreed we should preach, attended a curious + attentive audience, they requested we should tarry and preach again, accordingly made an appointment for next evening. Tarried all night with a Mr. Sawtril - kindly entertained -

13 Visited 2 or 3 families in the vicinity of Salem held a meeting in the evening, a large and attentive congregation some appeared to be excited sold 2 Books of Mormon

Tarried all night with Col. Hurlbut.
