The emigration of the family by ox-teams along with neighbors and relatives, the Cowderys settling in Williamson, Ontario County N. Y. in the summer of 1810 where Rebecca was born. Return of the family to Vermont and settling at Middletown in 1813-14 where Lucy was born and their remaining there until after Phoebe was born in January 1817, when the family removed to Leroy, Genessee, County, N. Y.
