Solomon Stephens teaches this earth's "Christ" is the same person as Adam; Jesus is not the "one like unto the son of man" in Daniel 7; teaches multiple mortal probations.

THE ADVENT OF LIFE ON THE EARTH
When the earth had become matured sufficient to sustain life, it was then proper for the Gods to prepare the inhabitants of the celestial world, where Christ received his experience, that those who had not kept their second estate sufficient to abide a celestial glory, because they could not keep celestial laws, and merited a terrestrial glory, to go down on the earth to receive their rewards on a terrestrial planet.
Now we wish to be clearly understood in the connection. If God was once as we are now, then he must have been on some terrestrial planet, passing through a probation under a Christ or Redeemer; when we say God, we mean Christ our God. He says that he did nothing but what he has seen his father do; then he must have seen his Christ or God, on the planet where he passed his probation, crucified, lay his body down and take it up again; and if he has been on an earth before, he must have had a body that had been born of a woman on that earth; and if in heaven he had a father and mother, then he must have had a body that was born there, and when he came down here he again had a body born of woman, the Virgin Mary, (a trinity) And all of the inhabitants on the earth must have been on that planet with him but had not been so valiant in the cause of Gospel truths as he was, and did not gain as much knowledge, which is salvation, to prepare them to be instrusted with the peopling and saving of an earth and its inhabitants. Therefore, they had to be the subjects of the kingdom under their more valiant brother, Michael, who after treading the wine press alone and proving that he can rule in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Heaven, will get a crown of glory, and will be our God and Savior, having done on this earth just what he had seen his Father do on that other earth, form whence we all came, prior to its becoming a celestial globle or a parent earth as we think the sun now is, “the same as all Gods had done before.” We believe the sun to be the plant where Christ had his experience and obtained a knowledge before coming here.
. . .
The Apostle Paul said he knew of a man who had ascended to the seventh heaven. Then there are suns above suns; or, in other words, one sun above another, at least seven of them. The field is large, and we must keep close to the fence or we will be lost in the mighty search after knowledge in regard to these things; but if we remember in our meditation that all things are after a patriarchal order, and it is reasonable, and considered no robbery for the child to become like its parents, then we have found the “Pearl of Great Price,” that is, a knowledge of the earth and ourselves. The greatest study of man is man, also “man know thyself.” By the spirit we can see as in a mirror the great plan or system with which we must comply to get our rewards; or, by disobedience merit condemnation and punishment for non-compliance, and wait another opportunity to gain salvation and exaltation, then where our God and Christ is or will be, we can never come, but will, under another, a brother, pass through another probation.
Which will we do? Keep our second estate and be added upon, or fail and lose our place on this planet, to pass through another probation on another planet, perchance an off-spring of this, under another God and Christ; one of our more valiant brothers, who will be the one that will come before the Ancient of Days (Adam) “when he shall sit with his fair as white as wool, when judgment will be given unto the saints and one like unto the son of man shall come to him, and a kingdom will be given him which will be an everlasting kingdom. Now, mind you, this person is not the son of man that we call Christ, but one like unto him. He said to His Father, “I will go down and give Thee the gory,” and His Father gave Him this earth, and said, “people it, save and redeem it, and have dominion over it, it is an everlasting kingdom;” and one of his sons, our brother, will come before him, our Ancient of Days like he did to his father and he, the Ancient of Days, will give him a kingdom, perhaps an off-spring of this earth, to people, save and redeem this one. It is a grand truth, this patriarchal order of things, and that it is no robbery for the son to become, by obedience to the same laws, like his father; it is worth living for, it is worth dying for. As we are eternal beings, we have got to do one of the two things; prepare ourselves for the first, or neglect to make for ourselves a good record here, and fall short of the glory we might get hereafter.
