The Adam-God Doctrine

In the beginning Adam, who is the only God we have to do with, created the heavens and the earth. One of those planets which Adam created Eloheim his father commenced his existence here Adam received exaltation after being born, lived, married and begotten children and then died on another inferior planet which Adam had made so he might be born on it. Adam was a polygamist, and by that virtue he received exaltation. Hence we know “there is a God infinite and eternal, from everlasting to everlasting. D&C 20:17. Adam’s oldest son was Jesus Christ who created this world where his father was afterwards born. D&C 11:9. It is easy to understand how Jesus Christ who was the son of Adam, who in turn was the son of Eloheim, had created the world where his grandfather had commenced his existence and still is still more plain when we consider that the gods are descended from one another even as mortals. By consulting Nephi 11:21, we [find] that Jesus Christ is called the Lamb of God, who created all things, including the world on which his grandfather Eloehim commenced his existence.
