SIGNS.—Last week on board a packet boat on the Erie canal between Palmyra and Utica a vote on the Presidency was taken and stood as follows: for Henry Clay 24, Van Buren 9, Calhoun 1, Joe Smith 2.
The same week on the packet boat Saratoga, between Utica and Shenectady, a vote was taken which stood for Henry Clay 28, Martin Van Buren 7.
On the Ohio, week before last, votes were taken on the following boats, with the following results:
On the Ambassador: for Clay 25, Van Buren 2, Johnson 1, Tyler 1.
On the Alleghany: Clay 50; all other candidates combined 30.
On the Monongahela: Clay 54, Loco Focos 8.
On the canal packet from [Harrisburgh?]: Clay 28, Loco Focos 3.
On the packet Louisiana: Whig 27, Loco Foco 4.
On the Die Vernon: For Clay 48, Van Buren 10, Johnson 1, Tyler 3.
