Tad R. Callister says that the earth was baptized at time of Noah.
Tad R. Callister, The Infinite Atonement (Salt Lake City: Deseret Book, 2000), 86
Adam's transgression not only resulted in man's death and fall from God's presence, but also the earth's death and fall from the presence of God. The consequences affecting the earth following the Fall mirrored the consequences that came upon man. In fact, it is startling when we recognize the remarkable similarities between the earth and man. Both are subject to death, both will be resurrected, both fell from the presence of God, both need to be born of water to be cleansed (i.e., the earth being baptized at the time of Noah), both need to be cleansed by fire (i.e., the earth being baptized by fire at the Second Coming and also prior to its final judgment), and both seek the day of their celestialization and return to God’s presence. Through the powers of the Atonement, the earth will be "resurrected" and restored to the physical presence of the Holy One. Each of the negative consequences of the Fall, whether they affected man or this earthly globe, will be corrected by the Atonement. We can glimpse how sweeping the atoning powers must be, even for the earth, when we reflect upon the pained cry from the depths of the earth's bowels: "When shall I rest, and be cleansed from the filthiness which is gone forth out of me? When will my Creator sanctify me, that I may rest, and righteousness for a season abide upon my face?" (Moses 7:48).
