Translation ou assomption de Marie

TRANSLATION

24. While everyone was sleeping, suddenly the Lord Jesus appeared, carried on a cloud and accompanied by a multitude of angels, and he entered the house where Mary was resting. Michael, the leader of the angels, sang the hymn with all the other angels. After the Lord had entered, he found the apostles around the bed of the blessed Mary and said to them: “Peace be with you.”

25. And right then and there, blessed Mary opened her mouth and blessed the Lord in these words: “I bless you because what you promised me, you have kept. Indeed, I cannot, by my thanksgiving, transfer [enough honor] to your name to surpass what you deigned to bring me.

26. In this manner, the Lord received her soul and entrusted it to the holy angel Michael. [Though] outside of any physical body, the soul had a human appearance and shone with a whiteness seven times greater than that of snow. . . .

Translation or assumption of Mary

. . .

47. While carrying Mary, the apostles arrived at the tomb where they buried her. They remained at the entrance to the tomb as the Lord Jesus Christ had enjoined them [to do]. And while they were sitting, suddenly there appeared the Lord with a multitude of angels, and he said to them: “Peace be with you, brothers.

”48. And he ordered the archangel Michael to welcome the body of the blessed Mary on the clouds.

49. And when Michael had taken him, the Lord told the apostles to come near him. And after the apostles had come near to the Lord Jesus, they were welcomed in the clouds.
