Christ Takes her Body to Paradise and Resurrects Here There
47. Nevertheless, the apostles carried Mary and they reached the tomb where they buried Mary. Then they remained before the mouth of the tomb, as the Lord Jesus Christ had instructed them. And while they were sitting there, suddenly the Lord came with a multitude of angels and said to them, “Peace be with you, brothers.”
48. And he ordered the archangel Michael to take up Mary’s body into the clouds.
49. And as he was taking it up, the Lord told the apostles to draw near to him. And when the apostles approached the Lord Jesus, they were taken up into the clouds.
50. And the Lord ordered the clouds to go to Paradise under the Tree of Life. And thus the clouds set down Blessed Mary’s body in Paradise, and there it is glorifying God with his elect. And the angels brought Holy Mary’s soul and placed it in her body, as our Lord Jesus Christ rejoiced, and she will have glory there eternally, unto the ages of ages, Amen. Then the Lord ordered all the apostles to be restored whence they had been taken up.
