(5.4) And she ascended to the heaven of heavens that is above the waters of heaven. And she saw above the waters ranks of angels spreading their wings. [35a] And the gaze of their eyes was watching over their Lord. And they were not able to cease the sound of their crying out and saying, “Holy, holy, holy, Lord of hosts!” And she ascended and saw the heavenly Jerusalem, in which the Father and his Son and his Holy Spirit are secluded. And she saw that it had twelve walls and twelve gates named after the twelve apostles. And an apostle was standing on each gate with angels and archangels who were standing and glorifying. And over the outer gate of Jerusalem were standing spiritual beings without number, glorying with their trumpets, and Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Saint David the Psalmist. And they drew near and worshipped before the Lord and my Lady Mary as she entered to see the heavenly Jerusalem. And she entered the first gate and was worshipped by angels. And she entered the second gate, and the prayer of the cherubim was offered to her. And she entered the third gate, and the prayer of the seraphim was offered to her. And she entered the fourth gate and was worshipped by the family of chiliarchs. And she entered the fifth gate, and the thunders and lightnings spoke praises before her. And she entered the sixth gate, and they cried out, “Holy, holy, holy!” before her. And she entered the seventh gate, and fire and flame worshipped before her. And she entered the eighth date, [35b] and rain and dew worshipped before her. And she entered the ninth gate, and Gabriel and Michael worshiped her. And she entered the eleventh gate, and the lights worshipped her and glorified her. And she entered the twelfth gate, and the child who was born from her strengthened her and guarded her.

(5.5) Thus my Lady Mary entered the heavenly Jerusalem and worshipped before God the Father. In that hour my Lady Mary saw the holy Father and the beloved Son and the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete. Then our Lord Jesus Christ drew near and took his mother and showed her secret and terrible things. And she showed her the dowry of the church, his bride. And he showed her what eye has not seen nor ear heard and that has not entered into the human heart: what God has prepared to give to those who love him on the day of the resurrection. And he took her and came within the extreme limit of all created things. And he showed her and said, “This is the place where Enoch dwells, and to this place. I have removed him, and this is the place where he prays.” Here ends the fifth book. [36a]
