Salt Lake City,

Wednesday, April 12th, 1922.

Reached the office about 9:30 and was busy with President Ivins until 10 o’clock, when the stockholders of the Inland Crystal Salt met. Pollowing the stockholders meeting, at which the old board was reelected, the directors met and the same officers were re-elected.

I had an interview with Brother B.H.Roberts. Told him that I would be pleased to have him take the editorship of the Deseret News or the Presidency of the Eastern States Mission, whichever he would prefer to do. We had a long and pleasant interview. He said that he would be glad to take either one or the other of these positions, but he hardly cared to express a preference; said he would like a decision at the earliest possible date and was perfectly willing to accept either position, whichever the brethren of the Presidency and Apostles decided that he should.
