I defeated Joseph Smith the Mormon Prophet from obtaining the benefit of the Bankrupt Act: It will be necessary for me to go to Quincy in this State to obtain the necessary evidence to enable me to file a Bill in Chancery to reach certain property which Smith purchased and paid for and has conveyed to his wife and others to evade the payment of the Judgment recovered by the United States against them and others for the sum of $4866/100 at the June Term 1842.
