Conclusion

Careful attention to the pronouns and person of the verbs reveals for and to whom the sign is given. Analysis of the textual transmission for וְקָרָאת in Isaiah 07:14 along with lexical analysis of קיץ and the syntax in Isaiah 7:16 gives stronger support for the analysis of ‎עַלְמָה by Rico. The textual transmission of Proverbs 30:19 has been clarified further. In the larger structure of Isaiah, we see a switching back and forth between promises for the distant future and promises for the near future. The exegesis points to interpretation of Isaiah 7:14 as a direct prediction for the distant future.
