2) In 11QMelch 2,6 a symbolic significance is given to the eschatological Jubilee release: "And liberty (דרור) will be proclaimed for them, to free them from [the debt of] all their iniquities". 11QMelch interweaves texts from Leviticus 25, Deuteronomy 15 and Isaiah 61 to describe the end-time which comes during the tenth Jubilee. 169 Sekki notes that 11QMelch is the only sectarian text to associate משח with רוח in denoting a future deliverer. Weinfield's conclusion is that "Such an exegesis of Isa. 61: 1-3 must t have lain in the background of Lk. 4: 16-19, in which Jesus sees himself as bearing to the reader news of freedom and grace from the Lord".
