AMERICAN INDIANS. Mr. C. S. Rafinesque, the celebrated naturalist, has published in the Philadelphia Saturday Evening Post, a letter addressed to the Rev. Ethan Smith, late of Poultney, Vt., on the subject of his "Views of the Hebrews." Mr. R. considers the notion that the American Indians are the decendants of the ten lost tribes of Israel, as absurd and gives ten very forcible reasons to show the utter impossibility of the fact.
