The New Era cites View of the Hebrews in arguing for the Hebraic Indian theory.
"Origin of the Negro Race," The New Era, (August 25, 1870): 1
How does it appear that the American Indians are descendants of Israel? First. The dialect of the different tribes being similar, and different from the old Hebrew-some words being precisely the same, which is remarkable when a language has not been written and kept rolling for 2,500 years. Second. Their religious rites and ceremonies bear a very close resemblance to those of ancient Israel.
