Heber J. Grant records speaking in Frankfurt.
Heber J. Grant, Journal, July 8, 1937, MS 1233, CHL
At 7:00 we held a meeting with the missionaries. I think there were about forty of them present. Brother Lyman, Brother Brown and Brother Kelly each spoke briefly. I spoke for about a half hour and we then adjourned and went to the regular meeting. It was held in a large hall. There were present between 800 and 900 people, as nearly as we could estimate. Brother Brown thought there were fully 900. He counted the rows and attempted to count the number in each row. Brothers Kelly and Brown spoke briefly. There was some good singing, and I spoke nearly an hour on the first principles of the Gospel. I then sat for nearly an hour shaking hands with the people. It was eleven o’clock before we got back to our hotel.
