even[in]g had a polit[i]cal meeting in the assembly room & B[r]o [William W.] Phelps publicly read my views of the gen[eral] Govemet [government] for the first time— Elders [Orson] Hyde & [John] Taylor made a spe[e]ch— & my[s]elf also
