Mr. Willard Richards,

and the First Presidency & the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles Greetin

I am informed by Elder Wm Ward the Saints in great Britin number somewhere between Eight and Nine Thousand Souls not withstanding all the culumnniating Reports that are in circulation there is a steady increase faster than decrease by apostacy and Emigration. The account of the Late arrest of President Joseph Smith and J. C. Binett Martha Brotherton and Caswell Prophet of the ninteenth century a work published of Late by Mr. Caswel who you will Recollect was in Nauvoo with an old manuscript Book . . . .
