When Clarissa Caroline Decker was born on 22 July 1828, in Freedom, Cattaraugus, New York, United States, her father, Isaac Decker, was 28 and her mother, Harriet Page Wheeler, was 24. She married Brigham Young on 8 May 1844, in Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 3 daughters. She immigrated to Utah, United States in 1847 and lived in Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois, United States in 1839. She died on 5 January 1889, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States, at the age of 60, and was buried in Salt Lake City Cemetery, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States.
