Ruth May Fox records that Elmina Shepard Taylor states that women could seal blessings for the sick.
Ruth May Fox, Diary, September 16, 1901, MS 5469, Church History Library
Mon. 16. This eve have been to Board Meeting to Pres. E. S. Taylor's res. A question was asked as to whether the sisters should seal the annointing after washings and annointings. Pres. Taylor said that she thought it was all right. She had received just as great benefit from the sealing of the sisters as from the brethren, but thought it wise to ask the Priesthood to seal the annointing when it was get-at-able. And if the brethren decided that woman could not seal the annointing then we should do as they say, but she could not see any reason why woman could not.
