Brigham Young's physician informs court he cannot attend proceedings in Beaver without putting his health at risk.
W. F. Anderson, Affidavit, July 28, 1875, as found in Documents pertaining to John D. Lee's trial, 1875-1876, Church History Library
I am a physician of thirty years practice; have attended on Brigham Young for the last ten years, am familiar with his present health, and state that it is so feeble, that his life would be in danger by making the journey from here to Beaver, and could not be taken without the greatest danger.
