ABSTRACT

Black-boned chickens have been discovered in Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. They are used in homologous and arbitrary medicinal treatments among conservative K'ekchi Indians and ancient as well as living Chinese people. A cluster of other traits also implies great antiquity of cultural diffusion between the K'ekchi-Maya and the Chinese.
