Brigham teaches that he expects all the faithful to "take the place of Adam" in the creation of worlds.

The following is from the History of Brigham Young:—
Prest. Brigham Young at Endowment House and sealed 4 couples. President Young remarked that he did not want to give endowments only to old people as they would not be likely to apostatise, but then if we were to carry out that rule, we should not ordain any one only those who would not apostatize and we would not baptise any one only those who would not apostatize, and to carry the thing still further we expect all who are faithful to take the place of Adam in worlds that are to be created; then if there were no apostates what would we do for devils, as we have to get out devils from this earth for the worlds that are to be created.
