The Salt Lake Daily Tribune publishes an article teaching that Brigham's Adam-God theology means that Latter-day Saints worship "an earthly being."
“Who Retards Progress in Utah,” The Salt Lake Daily Tribune 8, no. 102 (February 13, 1875):2
This is painfully apparent in the example of every man and woman who have surrendered their birthright to accept the Prophet Brigham as their master. From that fatal day they become abject slaves, the creatures of his demonic will, the victims of priestly lust, appellation and oppression, without a right they dare assert, without a country to protect them, and almost without a God. For the God that Brigham offers them for worship is an earthly being, an Adam-God, so gross and material in his attributes that the Prophet describes him as “a sort of comfortable, well-to-do farmer.”
