The Grand Whig Nomination at last—Henry Clay and Theodore Frelinghuysen

We received yesterday afternoon by an express from Baltimore, which left that city at 7 o'clock on the previous evening, the proceedings of the great Whig Convention, held there for the nomination of the candidates for the Presidency and Vice-Presidency. The whole of the proceedings were brief and to the purpose, resulting in the nominations of Henry Clay, of Kentucky, for the Presidency, and of Theodore Frelinghuysen, of New Jersey, or New York, for the Vice-Presidency.— We published them in our evening edition, and circulated them all over the eastern and northern part of the Union by the afternoon mails.
